As of Friday the borders of Australia and New Zealand will close to all foreigners. Australia has reported close to 600 cases of the coronavirus and confirmed 6 deaths. While this is a small number in comparison to other countries officials are worried about the potential increase of infections. New Zealand has 28 coronavirus cases but has reported no fatalities. Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern warned citizens that as airlines are cancelling flights options to return home are becoming limited. Both governments hope these efforts will aid in containing the coronavirus spread in their countries.
