President Trump to Discuss Tax Relief Measures in Response to the Coronavirus

President Donald Trump will examine “a possible tax relief measure” on Tuesday when he meets with Senate and House Republicans. At a press conference on Monday Trump said they will discuss “a possible payroll tax cut or relief, substantial relief, very substantial relief.” The President said they will also look at ways to provide help to hourly workers so they will not have to miss receiving a pay check. The potential tax relief effort follows the $8.3 billion emergency coronavirus package signed by Trump on Friday in response to the outbreak.
