Coronavirus tragedy struck in Fujian, China Saturday evening as a hotel being used to quarantine people with COVID-19 collapsed. CNN reports that 10 were confirmed dead as of Sunday morning. Another 71 were initially trapped inside the building but 48 were subsequently rescued from the rubble by the Fujian fire department. The fate of 23 people inside the building is unknown as of Sunday morning. CNN reports:
“At the time of the collapse, 58 people were under quarantine in the hotel and all had tested negative for novel coronavirus. There were also 16 hotel staff and six car dealership employees on site.”
